Ch.46 Hard to Handle
“Your house is really big…”
Ayul said as she stepped into my house.
From the broadcasting station to my home, Ayul seemed like a girl who found everything astonishing and fascinating.
I guess it’s because everything was unfamiliar to her.
“Ayul, shall we get started?”
As I said that, I took off my coat.
I casually threw the coat on the sofa and sat down next to it.
Ayul blinked her eyes, seemingly unsure of how to start.
“Just relax and sing a few of the songs you usually sing while busking.”
“If the director says that, I’m really looking forward to it!”
Secretary Shin also sat down next to me, joining as an audience.
Ayul probably wouldn’t be nervous just because there were only two of us.
But this humble stage must feel huge to her, given that it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Honestly, even if she doesn’t sing well because she’s nervous, it doesn’t matter.
I’ve already noted Ayul’s vocal talent, and the real test is something else entirely.
“Hmm, okay, I’ll give it a try…”
Ayul cleared her throat and began to sing.
“I’ll remember… Like the starlight in that sky~”
“The promised moonlight shines on the past…”
“So that the time of sorrow can come to an end-!”
If songs could be seen, Ayul’s song would be like a beautiful silk.
Her tone is delicate, beautiful, and mysterious.
The gentle melody that wrapped around my ears became more intense as it reached the high notes, as if it was demanding attention.
If the most important role of an idol is to make the audience notice them on stage, then she was doing an excellent job.
Of course, she feels like a one-trick pony when it comes to singing, but that can be fixed with training.
Trainees who’ve only been training for three or four months debut just fine, so it’s no big deal.
“Should I… Sing more?”
Wait, is it already over?
I lost track of time while listening.
It feels like I was lost in a dreamy place, completely absorbed.
“Ah, ah? Wow, you sing really well. Right, Director?”
Secretary Shin also seemed to have been entranced and only now came back to her senses.
I whispered quietly to her.
“Don’t praise her too much. She’s not on our side yet.”
“Ah, yes.”
It’s a bit harsh, but there’s no need to let Ayul fully realize her own worth.
With this talent, any agency would push a contract in front of her immediately, but she herself doesn’t know that. How lucky.
So, we always need to maintain the upper hand.
“Hmm, you sing well, but your gestures and facial expressions are lacking. That’s probably because you haven’t received proper training, so I’ll let that slide… But overall, it was an excellent performance.”
“Thank you!”
“Ayul, do you want to be an idol?”
“Yes!”
“Good. Sit here next to me. Secretary Shin, can you give us some space for a moment?”
“Yes, Director.”
After confirming that Secretary Shin had left and the door was firmly closed, I placed the MapDue application form on the table.
Seeing that, Ayul couldn’t hide the smile forming on her face.
Like a puppy seeing food, a child seeing candy, or an aspiring idol seeing her dream…
In her frustrating and poor reality, an incredible stroke of luck had come, and the look in her eyes just before seizing it was truly full of ambition.
“Ayul, appearing on MapDue means taking a big step closer to your dream. Do you want to do it?”
“Yes! But can someone like me, without an agency, really appear…?”
“Of course. If you fill this out, you’ll secure one of the 90 starting member spots on MapDue. It’s a free pass since I’m directly accepting you.”
“Wow… Thank you…!”
“But there’s still one thing left.”
“?”
A big hurdle appeared on Ayul’s face, and her smile paused for a moment.
I began to subtly admire her pretty and haughty appearance.
Openly, as if appraising her, I looked at her face, neck, chest, legs… Like a noble observer.
“…..Why are you suddenly…?”
A sinister aura filled the room, and Ayul, sharp as she is, seemed to sense something was off. As she tried to move away from me, I grabbed her and pulled her close.
In an instant, I wrapped my arm around her waist, gripping her slender figure and closing the distance between us.
“Ah! Wh-what are you doing?!”
“I’ve offered you everything I can give. What can you give me in return?”
“You’re crazy…! Are you seriously suggesting something so dirty…?”
“It’s just a mutual exchange. Don’t be so sensitive.”
“Let me go! Let go of me!”
Ayul struggled to free herself from my arm, but I had no intention of letting go yet.
“Ugh…! Stop this…! Ngh…”
Ayul groaned, wanting to stop being sexually harassed, but I hadn’t heard her answer yet.
As we struggled, Ayul’s body grew hotter, and her rough, labored breathing became louder.
“Huff…! If you don’t let go right now, I’ll… I’ll report you! For sexual harassment…!”
“Report me? Do you think you, with no agency or social standing, can win against me?”
“What does that have to do with anything…”
“It has everything to do with it. There was an idol who reported a PD for sexual assault. Apparently, the PD touched her under the pretext of giving her a broadcast opportunity. But guess what happened?”
“….?”
With a sinister smile, I continued.
“False accusation. It was ruled that she had agreed to it and then sued the PD out of anger because he didn’t give her the broadcast. People in broadcasting are close with the media. And the police and prosecutors are most sensitive to the media.”
This is a story PD Ahn told me.
Honestly, I was shocked when I first heard it.
It didn’t seem possible, but when you dig deeper, there’s a lot going on.
The women who provided sexual hospitality to PD Ahn also served high-ranking officials in the police and media. Those officials helped PD Ahn, and PD Ahn, in turn, gave those women plenty of broadcast opportunities.
A dazzling three-way transaction, if you will.
I’m glad I heard PD Ahn’s story. Otherwise, I might have been really flustered.
But, well, I don’t intend to force anything.
“How could something like that happen… That’s unbelievable…”
“Even an idol with an agency couldn’t handle it and ended up kneeling and begging… No, pleading. But you, hmm…”
“No matter what, this is too much… Ahh…”
Ayul started to tear up, on the verge of crying.
I continued to massage her waist and thighs, feeling like I’d scared her enough, and then let go.
“Just so you know, things like that happen. I don’t intend to force anything. Like I said, it has to be a mutual exchange, hehe.”
“….You’re saying that, but you’re basically telling me to sell my body if I want to appear on MapDue….!”
“Sell your body? That’s too blunt and vulgar. It’s more like a sexual hospitality.”
“A director doing something like this… Are all the people on TV chosen through sexual hospitality?!”
Ayul stood up abruptly and shouted.
Her fists were clenched, showing how angry she is.
She’s grinding her teeth too. This girl seems hard to handle…
She’s the complete opposite of Sua.
“Of course not. Only those with the potential to bloom as idols can provide sexual hospitality to me.”
“Just saying that doesn’t make it true…”
“I’m still the director. Do you think anyone can just spread their legs and appear on my show? I only offer this opportunity to those with talent. And you, without an agency, have a chance to appear directly on MapDue. It’s a very valuable opportunity. Whether you can seize this opportunity and bloom your talent is up to you.”
If I feel the desire to have her, I believe that woman has the qualities to succeed as an idol.
I have that kind of insight.
Sexual hospitality are just a means to give opportunities to those with potential.
Anyway, I’ve decided to believe that…
“You’re making it sound like you’re doing me a favor? This is ridiculous…”
“It is a favor. Not just anyone can spread their legs for me, you know? You’re still new to this industry. And you don’t even realize how big of an opportunity you’ve got.”
“Enough. I’m leaving. I don’t want to challenge my dreams by selling my body.”
“Hmm.. An easy path to achieving your dreams has opened up, and you’re just going to leave? Well, I guess it’s shocking to suddenly be told to spread your legs. I’ll give you three days to think it over. If you want to appear on MapDue, contact me again within three days.”
“I’ll never do that! You’ll never see me again, so give up on that dream!”
Her boldness made me shrug, and I opened my mouth.
“Secretary Shin, take her home!”
“I’m fine. I’ll go by myself…”
“How are you going to go alone? I won’t do anything, so take Secretary Shin’s car and go back. I let go as soon as you said no, didn’t I?”
“….Hmph!”
Ayul slammed the door and left. As expected, she’s a fiery one.
Honestly, I’m not too disappointed, and I didn’t expect it to work out in one go.
I just hope the seed of a dream I planted shakes her up a bit.
I sent a quick message to Secretary Shin.
-Take Ayul home safely, then come back to my house.
-Yes, but why?
-We’re dating now, right? Let’s have a home date.
-….Okay >_
With that explosive body and a look that could set any man’s heart on fire, she’s still cute…
I smiled and headed to the bathroom.
Humming to myself, I imagined Secretary Shin’s body.
Honestly, my target for today had never shifted from Secretary Shin.
