Zeke was startled by Reyes’s unexpected words.

‘Could it be the Jiemens I know?’

Zeke recalled Jiemens’s magic knight order that had pursued Terakan Draker when he read the Holy Grail’s memories.

He had found it curious when the name Jiemens appeared then, but he hadn’t expected the name to exist even in the Hero King’s era.

‘Draker and Jiemens. Are the two families more deeply connected than I thought?’

Zeke asked Reyes in a calm voice.

“Why do you think Jiemens summoned demons?”

Reyes clicked his tongue at those words.

“Sethon, are you really asking me that? You’re really strange today.”

Reyes didn’t answer Zeke’s question and slowly got up.

“Well, let’s get going. There should be a demon who created this domain inside the castle. Once we eliminate it, this forest should return to normal.”

Zeke suddenly realized this was some point on the continent in the past.

He opened the map to examine the terrain and asked the System.

It looked similar to the ‘katar’ used by the Salmak assassins.

While the assassins’ katars had thin blades well-hidden inside the wrist, the demon’s weapon was wider and longer, enough to be called a regular sword.

As the chain shortened, Zeke and Reyes ended up dangling in the middle of the castle wall.

Reyes looked down with a surprised expression while hanging on the high wall and said to Zeke.

“Sethon. I didn’t know you had such skills.”

Without responding, Zeke took out another dagger, connected it with a chain, and embedded it into the wall.

After repeating this several times, Zeke was able to reach the top of the castle wall.

That’s when it happened.

A harpy-like monster flew towards Zeke and Reyes climbing the wall, flapping its black wings.

It tried to attack Zeke and Reyes hanging on the wall with its sharp claws.

“Get lost, you beast!”

Reyes swung his spear toward the monster while hanging.

But the monster easily dodged Reyes’ spear while circling in the air.

And shortly after, the monster led its pack flying towards Zeke and Reyes.

“Reyes, that scale attack from earlier. Can’t you use that?”

“Have you forgotten that the Azure Scale Bomb can only be used once a day!”

Reyes was of no help at all.

Zeke embedded his remaining daggers into the wall and stood with his back against it to secure himself.

In that position, he took out the Dark Elf’s bow from his inventory.

“An artifact with piercing capabilities… Let’s see how well it works.”

Magical weapons were rare to begin with, but magical bows were even rarer.

Zeke took out arrows he had made with the item crafting system and nocked one on the bowstring.

And immediately drew the bowstring taut and shot the arrow at the charging monster.

The arrow Zeke shot pierced through the monster’s body at an amazingly fast speed.

The monster hit by Zeke’s arrow staggered and then fell to the ground.

A lower-ranked demon leading several Cerberuses was waiting for Zeke and Reyes on the bridge.

The Cerberuses fell below the bridge with a horrific cry.

Seeing this, the remaining Cerberuses on the bridge stepped back slightly.

GROWL!

Zeke pointed his sword at the Cerberuses.

“I don’t have time to deal with you lot.”

Zeke flipped his sword downward and struck it into the bridge.

Bahamut was embedded into the bridge made of solid stone.

Zeke immediately unleashed a Strong wave Resonance.

RUMBLE!

Cracks started forming in the bridge, spreading towards where the Cerberuses were.

CRACK!

The Cerberuses instinctively felt fear and tried to back away.

But the bridge collapsed faster.

CRASH!

As the cracks worsened, the bridge crumbled down.

The Cerberuses above fell to the ground along with the bridge debris.

CRAAASH!

Just as Zeke and Reyes’ position was about to collapse from the impact, Zeke threw a chain with daggers attached to the opposite wall.

SWISH!

Zeke leaped over the broken bridge with Reyes and charged toward the demon.

Zeke delivered a kick infused with Strong wave resonance at the demon.

BOOM!

The demon stumbled back, startled by Zeke’s attack with wave energy.

[Ugh! How can a human wield energy like this?]

Reaching the opposite tower without giving the demon time to recover, Zeke raised his sword and shouted to Reyes.

“Reyes! The net!”

At Zeke’s words, Reyes quickly spread the net toward the demon.

SWOOSH!

The demon rolled to avoid Reyes’ sudden net attack.

But it couldn’t dodge Zeke’s more persistent chains.

SWISH!

Zeke’s chains wrapped around the demon’s body.

“URGH!”

When Reyes tried to thrust his spear at the demon, Zeke stopped him.

“Wait, let’s get some information out of this one.”

Reyes was shocked at those words.

“Sethon, you doing interrogation? Kaisir would fall over backwards if he saw this.”

“…Don’t you know people change over time?”

Trying to act casual, Zeke quickly approached the demon bound in chains.

“Demon, tell me how many are in the tower.”

The demon glared at Zeke with red eyes and spat.

[Damn you humans! I’ll skin your heads and cut your bodies into pieces!]

Reyes clicked his tongue and said.

“Don’t know what it’s saying, but I can tell it’s cursing.”

Having become somewhat used to handling demons, Zeke calmly took out Agamemnon’s Mask from his inventory.

Until now, he had refrained from using it due to high mana consumption, but since he had released the Infinite Stamina skill, he could quickly recover after using the purification skill.

If he could have used the Holy skill it would have made it submit faster, but this level was enough for a lower demon.

Zeke grabbed the demon’s collar and asked again.

“Tell me the number of troops inside the tower and where the castle’s master is. Also tell me what abilities the boss has. The longer you stall, the more painful it will get.”

At Zeke’s words, the demon’s face turned pale blue.
