Chapter 2: The Man You Absolutely Can’t Afford to Provoke!
“I won’t marry you, I’m already married!”
Song Chi said with a cold face and walked towards her room.
Li Chengwei heard this, rushed forward, and blocked Song Chi’s path.
“What nonsense are you spouting? Mr. Wang is still here, who could you possibly be married to?”
Song Chi pulled out her marriage certificate.
“Of course, to my husband. If you force me again, you’ll be committing bigamy, and you’ll have to go to jail!”
Li Chengwei stared at the bright red certificate, his eyes filled with hatred, as if he saw a five-million-dollar bride price slipping away before his eyes.
Mr. Wang was even more enraged, suddenly smashing his water cup to pieces.
“Li Chengwei, you’re playing me for a fool!”
Li Chengwei was so scared he almost knelt.
“Mr. Wang, please calm your anger. It’s all Song Chi, this little sl*t, acting on her own! I’ve raised her for so many years; without my consent, this marriage certificate is invalid!”
Li Chengwei finished speaking and rushed to snatch Song Chi’s marriage certificate.
Song Chi was pushed back a step but clung desperately to the marriage certificate, refusing to let go.
“This is my marriage certificate, let go!”
As the two struggled, suddenly, a pair of greasy, fat hands grabbed her.
“Song Chi, it doesn’t matter if you’re married. You haven’t had your wedding night yet, right? Let me try it for your husband first.”
Song Chi was utterly disgusted and pushed Li Chengwei away with all her might. The next moment, she bit Mr. Wang’s arm hard.
Mr. Wang cried out in pain and immediately let go. Song Chi knew things were bad and immediately ran out.
Mr. Wang’s face was grim.
“Li Chengwei, you don’t want five million anymore, do you?”
Upon hearing this, Li Chengwei immediately rushed over and blocked Song Chi’s path.
Song Chi’s fear amplified infinitely. Her eyes caught sight of a chair nearby. Without thinking, as they closed in on her, she picked up the chair and smashed it towards them!
“Don’t come any closer! If you dare to touch me, I’ll drag you down with me!”
Li Chengwei gritted his teeth, his eyes flashing fiercely.
“Even if you die, this body of yours can only belong to Mr. Wang.”
Li Chengwei and Mr. Wang pressed closer, forcing Song Chi back against the wall with no escape. She never expected these two men to be so disgusting. She would rather die than let them succeed.
Her eyes filled with hatred, she gritted her teeth, picked up a fruit knife from a nearby table, and prepared to fight them to the death!
Suddenly, the front door was kicked open. Mu Yin, who had heard her cry from downstairs, burst in, looking grimly at the scene in the room.
“Dare to touch her! You’re asking for death!”
“Who are you? Get lost… Ouch!”
Li Chengwei didn’t finish his sentence before he was sent flying by a kick to the face!
Mr. Wang saw this, knew he was no match, and retreated in fear, swallowing hard. “You, you, do you know who I am?”
Mu Yin’s sharp gaze swept over him, then without mercy, he kicked him again, sending him flying.
“I don’t care who you are, no one is allowed to touch my person!”
Mu Yin was like a hero descending from the heavens, arriving in Song Chi’s world against the light.
Mu Yin approached her. “It’s okay.”
Song Chi: “…”
Since her parents passed away, no one had been so good to her except her aunt. She let out a sob and cried into his arms.
Mu Yin’s body stiffened. He could feel her fear, grievance, and terror at that moment.
Mu Yin awkwardly patted her back to comfort her. A strange emotion flickered in his heart as he picked Song Chi up in a princess style. His gaze was icy as he looked down at the two men on the ground.
“I’m taking her. If you dare to touch her again, you’ll face the consequences!”
The men on the ground were kicked almost to the point of suffocation, watching helplessly as Mu Yin carried her away.
In the car, Song Chi was like a deflated balloon, slumped in the seat.
“Sir, thank you. My parents died when I was young, and my aunt adopted me. My aunt is timid and indecisive, and my uncle is a gambler who owes Mr. Wang five million in gambling debts he can’t repay. He wanted to use me to settle the debt, that’s why I was so desperate to get married. Last time at the hotel, my uncle also tried to harm me, which is why I ran into your room by mistake. This home is a bottomless pit, but don’t worry, I won’t let them bother you.”
Song Chi didn’t want to reopen her wounds, but since Mu Yin had seen her at her most pathetic, she felt there was nothing left to hide.
Mu Yin’s brows slightly furrowed. “It doesn’t matter. If they don’t want to live, they can come.”
Song Chi thought Mu Yin was speaking in anger and felt uneasy. “You’re also an ordinary person. Please don’t get into conflict with them because of me. We can’t afford to provoke that Mr. Wang.”
Mu Yin’s eyes were sharp. Her maternal family clearly wasn’t good news; their future days would likely be turbulent! But she was already his wife. Whether he loved her or not, he would not allow anyone to insult her!
Song Chi didn’t know that the man in front of her was someone whom the entire city couldn’t afford to provoke.
Mu Yin drove away. “Let’s go.”
“Where to?”
“To Hongchang District, my home is there!”
What Song Chi didn’t know was that Mu Yin was making a little plan. He had just informed his parents that he had married a girl from an ordinary family.
His grandfather was afraid he had found a wife who only enjoyed life and couldn’t endure hardship, so he suggested that Mu Yin buy an apartment in an ordinary residential area to test her for a period of time before revealing the truth…
Along the way, Song Chi asked, “Sir, what do you do for work?”
