The Extra Strategist’s Royal Road Chapter 273
Returning to the Ellan Kingdom, I explained the situation to Rosa and immediately headed to Juras’ office.
It seems that the guy has become quite accustomed to life here, organizing documents using magic.
Various documents were floating in the air, and Juras was reviewing them while crossing his legs.
As I appeared, the documents flying in the air were instantly neatly organized.
“You’ve arrived. I apologize for not coming out to meet you.”
“It’s fine. More importantly, you’ve finally learned magic.”
“I naturally learned it by reading books. I didn’t learn from anyone.”
With a snap of his fingers, a teapot, teacups, and a tray began to rise and set up refreshments.
This scene made him look more like a wizard than anyone I had seen before.
“Will you tell me what happened in the homeland?”
“The situation is rapidly changing.”
I told him about becoming the king of Calliper and changing the kingdom’s name to ‘Liande’, establishing a friendly relationship with Alvard, and how Svenner and Europe attacked Tunkai. Juras furrowed his brow.
“How did you find out about Kaien? I told you not to mention this part even to King Parain.”
“Were you using me as bait to capture Kaien?”
“That’s right. I thought such bait was necessary to capture an unprecedented strategist like Kaien. With that one move, I was trying to capture Kaien and swallow up Alvard as well.”
“King Gareth told me that you formed a temporary friendly relationship with Alvard.”
“It might not be a bad arrangement. If we have a triple alliance of Crossing, Alvard, and Liande, which you rule, we could potentially win against all the rest.”
“Doesn’t that still make you uneasy?”
“That’s right. So first, it would be good to grasp Svenner’s movements. This is just my speculation, Ars, but… It seems there’s a strange force behind Svenner. In my estimation, the timing for Svenner to move was not now.”
It was a vague speculation, but it seemed credible when he said it.
“When you say a strange force, do you mean some force in this world?”
“The possibility is certainly there.”
“Hmm.”
Juras continues speaking as if finding it interesting.
“In a few weeks when I return, I’ll come visit you. You go and retrieve your vassals. I’ll prepare until then.”
“What preparations are you talking about?”
“Isn’t it obvious? Preparations for war.”
“….”
If someone from this world is beginning to interfere with our central continent, it would be best to settle things early.
‘This might become an unprecedented war.’
A war that would cover the entire continent.
A great war that would decide the integration of the continent.

Returning to the mansion, I could finally catch my breath.
I heard that Anton and his group, who went to look for Elliot and Dorofei, would return in two days, so I could rest for about two days.
I first talked with my mother and shared news about the family.
“Ferge was left in the military? What happened to that child!?”
“He’s safe. When Saleon organized the rebel army, he sensed the situation and escaped from the military camp with his colleagues. After suppressing the rebellion, he was safely rescued in the Beckavia region.”
“That’s such a relief. I was worried because he has a stubborn personality.”
During our conversation, a sorrowful cry of ‘Uwaaah! Daddy!’ was heard.
My mother smiled bitterly and said, “Ars, it seems Ryuna is looking for you.”
“I’m sorry, I’ll finish the remaining story later.”
I quickly ran to the dining room where the crying was coming from.
There, Ryuna was crying and throwing a tantrum. It seemed she had been scolded by Yumir.
Ryuna runs up to me as soon as she sees me.
“Daddy!”
Because I had been holding her and sleeping with her for nearly a month, Ryuna’s dependence on me had significantly increased.
Yumir says, looking troubled, “Young master, you shouldn’t indulge her too much. The child’s behavior will worsen.”
“Yeah… I know, but I can’t just let her cry. Why was she crying?”
“She was being scolded for complaining about the side dishes.”
A quick glance showed the table was filled only with vegetable side dishes.
“Yumir, I understand your feelings, but I would also cry if the side dishes were like this.”
Yumir makes a stern expression, seemingly unconvinced.
I suggested a compromise.
“Eonia!”
Eonia, who was apparently in the kitchen, immediately poked her head out.
“Sorry, but could you make a few sweet meat side dishes? I’m going to feed Ryuna.”
“Got it!”
Eo seemed to have anticipated my request and quickly prepared greasy dishes.
“Here, Ryuna.”
When Yumir placed meat on a vegetable side dish, Ryuna opened her mouth and bit the spoon.
She immediately swallowed the vegetable side dish and chewed the meat side dish as if ruminating.
“I fed her like this over there too. That’s why her meal portions increased and she gained weight, but children naturally grow while gaining weight, right?”
“Whew…!”
Yumir lets out a sigh of resignation.
After finishing her meal, Ryuna went out and asked Eo to play.
“Errang! Let’s play with Ed too!”
“Hehe, let’s do that.”
Eonia set up mine and Yumir’s meal and then took the twins and Ryuna to the mansion’s garden.
Left alone with Yumir, I gestured to her.
“What’s wrong?”
“Just come here.”
Yumir approaches, not understanding why. I pulled her towards me and sat her on my knee, in the same position as when I fed Ryuna.
However, since Yumir was much larger than Ryuna, her hair tickled my nose.
“Yo, young master!?”
“I have something to talk about, so just listen.”
I remained embracing Yumir as I spoke about what had happened with Kaien.
Yumir listened to the story, dropping her ears when the story about my mother Rizna came up.
“I see, about lady Rizna’s father… She had told a similar story before. That he was a great general. So I asked her, ‘Wouldn’t it be better to rely on your father?’“
It was a story about whether the Fensillon restoration forces would have headed toward the Alvard Kingdom where Kaien was located.
“Lady Rizna said that would be meaningless. She probably thought there would be political friction with the royal family of Alvard.”
“Yes, doing that would have shaken Kaien’s position for no reason.”
In the end, they should have done something like that. If they had, at least they would have saved their life.
Yumir lowers her head as if trying to swallow her sadness.
I applied a little more strength to my embracing arms.
Then, I suddenly looked at the meal prepared by Eonia.
Feeling a bit mischievous, I pointed the fork with some side dishes toward Yumir.
“Here, try it ‘ah’.”
“Young master!?”
Yumir looks flustered. I forcibly pushed the fork towards her. Yumir turns her face completely red and bites the fork.
She quickly chews and swallows, then says to me,
“That’s enough!”
“What are you talking about, it’s just the beginning. It’s okay, I just locked the dining door a little while ago.”
“If that’s the case…”
Yumir seems to have caught the mood and quietly accepts being fed.
After that, Yumir picked up the fork and fed me food.
“Give me some meat side dishes. There’s nothing but vegetables.”
“No, here, say ‘ah’.”
A moment somewhat embarrassing but happy.
However, thinking we were the only ones here was a huge mistake.
Suddenly looking at the dining window, I saw Eonia staring at us with wide eyes.
Next to her were Estelle and Erina. It seemed they were playing with the children.
Whether Eonia told Estelle and Erina or not, all three began staring at us intently.
“Uh.”
But Yumir seemed to still be unaware. Despite usually being sharp, she’s loose at times like these.
“Young master…”
Eventually, she turns her upper body slightly and comes to kiss me.
“Wait a minute!”
“Oh… Was it because the food smell was unpleasant?”
“It’s not that. …Look over there.”
“Over there…? Oh!”
Yumir quickly gets up from my knee and returns to her seat.
The three who were watching from the window soon came to the dining.
Click! Click!
“Huh? Why is the door locked?”
“Well, who knows?”
Yumir, unable to contain her embarrassment, goes into the kitchen.
At that moment, the dining’s lock is released.
‘Today, I’m done for early.’
I accepted my fate and resigned myself.

Anton’s group, who went to search for Elliot and Dorofei’s whereabouts, returned around midnight the next day.
They arrived half a day earlier than expected.
“My lord! I am ashamed. I should have come to meet you on your return…”
“If you’re busy, it can’t be helped. More importantly, I did see Gawain when I went to Crossing this time”
When Gawain’s story comes up, Master Ilya perks up her ears.
“He’s growing well. Once, he got into a fight with Ryuna while playing…”
“Princess Ryuna fought with my Gawain!? That boy!”
Anton gets angry. After hearing the news that I became king, he started calling Ryuna ‘princess’.
“They just squabbled over some cookies. Ryuna is only one year old, but she’s a beastkin, so her body is a bit larger. So she seems to have thought of Gawain as her younger brother.”
“Hmm…!”
At that moment, Master Ilya asks, unable to overlook something,
“Who won?”
“Pardon?”
“Between Ryuna and Gawain. I’m curious who won.”
“Well… Ryuna is so active and strong. Gawain seemed to have lost to her momentum. He just gave up the cookies and left.”
“So he lost…”
Master Ilya looks serious.
“When we go back, I’ll have to train him thoroughly.”
In contrast, Anton seems to think Gawain’s yielding to Ryuna is admirable.
Behind them was a thin Elliot. Dorofei also looked tough, having gone through quite an ordeal.
“Dorofei! I’m glad you’re safe. Are you okay?”
“I want to say I’m okay… But honestly, if Ilya and Anton hadn’t come in time, it would have been dangerous.”
“Come in first.”
We decided to share our situations with each other.
When I first told my story, Dorofei was startled.
“Ars became the king of Calliper!?”
“I changed the kingdom’s name to Liande.”
“This isn’t a joke, right?”
“It’s not a joke.”
“What happened to our Grimwood family? Don’t tell me they joined the Saleon rebels?”
“The Grimwood family was supporting Lord Hellian. Because of that, the family’s power has been significantly weakened.”
“Phew! As long as they didn’t join the rebels…”
“But there’s one problem.”
“What problem?”
“It’s about Lynette.”
Lynette, who was in a romantic relationship with Dorofei.
“That family had joined the Saleon rebels. So I had no choice but to remove their noble status.”
“…So Lynette is no longer a noble.”
“That’s right. I wanted to consider mitigation if possible, but there were circumstances showing she was trying to lead an army to attack the southern part of the capital…”
“It’s okay. If someone did something wrong, they should be punished. For Lynette, whether she’s a noble or not doesn’t matter.”
Now it was Dorofei’s turn to speak.
Elliot finally opened his mouth.
He began slowly unfolding the events that had occurred on the Alliance side.
