I Became a Gallery Newbie Beloved by Transcendents
Chapter 20
I gazed at the Kobold Champion in the distance.
‘There’s no sense of intimidation.’
It didn’t have the same intimidating presence as when I faced the Orc Commander.
But that was just in my case.
Except for Laura, the five people in front seemed to be feeling quite pressured.
I noticed Jake taking steps backward.
At this rate, it seemed like our formation would collapse.
Though speaking of formation, there were only 7 of us.
When a tank gets scared like that, everything falls apart in an instant.
I gripped the black javelin in my right hand.
My target wasn’t that imposing Kobold Champion.
That was because Kobolds were blocking the way like guards.
SWOOOSH!
One of the Kobold soldiers standing in the center of the line had its upper body pierced by the spear I threw.
When one dies.
KWAAAAAAAK!!
The rest react.
The Kobold Champion brought down the shaft of the huge spear it was holding vertically.
KUUUUNG!
Perhaps the action of striking down the spear was a signal for the Champion to give orders to the Kobold soldiers.
About 20 Kobold soldiers rushed in at once.
Laura began running around in all directions with her longsword.
Perhaps because she had already killed some of them before, her movements looked definitely better than yesterday.
KIGIGIK-!
Misaki was, uniquely, a player who used a bow.
And she used it quite well.
PWOOK!
KAAK!
While Misaki’s arrows piercing the Kobolds’ bodies didn’t result in instant death, it was enough to serve as a stepping stone for Laura or Sun Haoran to finish them off.
My vision was observing the entire dungeon room.
KIGIK!
As if really annoyed by Misaki shooting her bow, I cut down the bodies of two Kobolds that were rushing at her.
“Th-Thank you.”
Misaki expressed her gratitude to me without even thinking to wipe away the sweat covering her face.
By now, many of the Kobolds had met their death.
When exactly about four remained.
JEOONG!
The Kobold Champion’s body soared upward.
Landing.
The problem was where the Kobold Champion landed.
It was on top of Jake’s shield, the only tank among the members of this exchange meeting.
JEOJEOJEOJEOJEOK─!!
The shield was mercilessly crushed.
To the extent that it was hard to believe it was the sturdy shield that had blocked countless Kobold attacks.
The fragments of the broken shield spread widely like pieces of a shattered mirror.
“KAAAAK!”
I heard an agonized scream unlike any I’d heard since entering the exchange meeting.
Jake had his abdomen directly hit by the Kobold Champion’s right foot claw, which was no different from a sharp spear.
CHWAK!
I pulled out the black javelin that I had thrown as a spear from the right shoulder of the Kobold in front.
And I ran as fast as possible toward the front where Jake was.
“You…!”
Laura glared at me as I suddenly rushed forward.
She swung down her sword at the Kobold Champion’s ankle.
KAAK!
Ignoring the Kobold Champion’s angry voice, I carried Jake’s body with both hands and flung myself backward.
Misaki and Zhu Xian bravely blocked in front of me as I came back with Jake.
“KUK… KUHUK!”
A handful of blood flowed from Jake’s mouth.
I heard that in case of potions, many players hang them in separate pouches on their waists to prepare for emergencies when there isn’t even time to take them out of the inventory during battle.
Jake was one of those players. I took out a low-grade potion from the pouch tied around his waist.
I poured the potion precisely onto the wounded area.
There were also bandages in the pouch.
I hastily tied the bandages as well.
“After helping you this much, don’t blame me if you die.”
Jake nodded awkwardly while looking at me.
“Its movements have slowed down a bit! Attack simultaneously!”
Laura’s shout was heard.
The reason the Kobold Champion’s movements slowed down was probably because I stabbed its ankle.
Before entering the exchange meeting, I had talked about last hits in the Transcender Gallery.

Title: How is experience distribution divided when killing monsters in the exchange meeting
Author: Anonymous*
– Does the person who deals the final blow get more?   Â
ă„´ Anonymous*) You might not have much to do, but it applies the same way in party play, not just exchange meetings. The one who finishes them off gets the most experience.
ă„´ Spear King) If you as a climber is excited about throwing a javelin at the end to get the last hit, upvote.
ă„´ Anonymous*) Upvoted.
ă„´ OK!!!!
ă„´ You guys are playing well, have fun.
ㄴ Light’s Sword) Why throw a javelin specifically? You could just use a ranged slash.
ă„´ Light’s Sword) Ah, you can’t use that yet. Before level 20.
ㄴ KKKKKKKKKKK look at Light’s Sword
ă„´ But at this growth rate, won’t you get there soon?
ă„´ Priestess) Spells are curses, so it’s easy to get the last hit. Learn spellcasting.
ă„´ Dragon King of Demons ) Beltui- last hit games are fuuun.
ă„´ Ice Queen) Hehe! I once got a last hit by making only the heart inside an Ogre Lord’s body stop without anyone noticing! Freeze!
ă„´ If a hidden boss room appears, try to enter if possible. Clearing it gives double experience event.
ă„´ Avoid if it has five stars
ă„´ Demon Character) Why avoid if it has five stars? It’s more exciting.
ă„´ I’m just a normal ordinary weakling so I’ve never entered anything over three stars.
ă„´ A smart commoner who knows their place OO

I’ll take the last hit on this boss room.
Any experience I lose by watching now can be made up in the hidden boss room.
Perhaps because we’re reaching the end of the exchange meeting.
The previously uncoordinated breathing of the five members started to match up.
Now the soldiers guarding the Champion had been completely annihilated.
Laura and Sun Haoran simultaneously rushed toward the Kobold standing alone and proudly.
“You attack the right side!”
Laura shouted as she brought her sword down toward the Kobold Champion’s left shoulder.
KAANG!
But the sword did not tear through the leather. The Champion’s spear held in its left hand. Laura’s longsword was completely blocked by the blade of that spear.
Sun Haoran’s spear was caught bare-handed.
PWOOK-!
The arrow shot by Misaki, who was still sweating profusely, lodged into the Champion’s upper body.
The accuracy was commendable, but the problem was that there was no change at all in the face of the Kobold Champion who got hit.
The other members were working hard to divert attention.
It was an optimal situation for me to get the last hit.
[Magic Body Enhancement Lv.3 – Activating skill.]
Magic flowing from the mana heart spread throughout my body.
My trained muscles expanded automatically.
[Concentration Enhancement Lv.3 – Activating skill.]
It had been a very long time since I used self-suggestion.
This is the mound.
Taking one step forward, I leaned my body backward.
Rotating my waist, I swung my right hand holding the black javelin.
SWOOOOOOOOOOSH!
The javelin cut through the air.
─KWAJIK.
The rushing javelin lodged precisely between the eyes of the Kobold Champion’s head.
Strike.
[Boss monster ‘Kobold Champion’ has been defeated.]
[Level has increased!]
[Lv.12 → Lv.13]
Finally, my level went up.
[‘Strength’ has increased by 7.]
[‘Agility’ has increased by 6.]
[‘Health’ has increased by 6.]
[‘Mana’ has increased by 5.]
[‘Kobold’s Cradle’ dungeon has been cleared!]
I felt everyone’s gaze, including Laura’s, turn toward me.
All of them had dumbfounded expressions without exception.
[‘Top Exchange Meeting’ dungeon contribution score is being calculated.]
[You are in ‘1st place’.]

[You are awarded an item as the 1st place reward.]

Senior Spear King.
I’ve successfully eaten the last hit with the throwing spear.
Laura walked toward me and gave a small laugh.
“You got 1st place, right?”
“Yes.”
“Curious how I knew?”
I nodded at Laura’s words. I already knew the reason from the seniors in the Transcender Gallery, but I’m currently cosplaying as a newbie.
“In lower level exchange meetings, they usually use whoever delivers the finishing blow as the criterion for 1st place. Hiya, you’re really skilled. Your javelin skills are amazing.”
The black javelin I had thrown was in the hand of Laura who was kindly explaining the reason.
What is this.
Is she going to stab me? Throw it?
Making me feel embarrassed for suspecting Laura for a moment. Laura held out the spear in the safe direction with the blade not facing me.
“But I’m not upset. If you hadn’t thrown that javelin, I think we would have been struggling with that bastard for a while.”
Jake, who seemed to have leveled up and instantly recovered, was standing next to Laura. He bowed his head to me.
“Thank you. I survived thanks to you.”
Misaki approached awkwardly.   Â
” “Thank you for your hard work…!”
Zhu Xian just shrugged her shoulder.
“Well, I’m satisfied just to have survived.”
Laura was swinging her longsword in the air with her right hand.
It wasn’t difficult to guess what she was doing.
“I’m going first.”
Laura said quietly.
“It’s unlikely we’ll meet again as this same group at another exchange meeting, but if we do, let’s at least greet each other.”
A white circle appeared beneath Laura’s feet.
And from that circle, a burst of pure white light enveloped her body.
The hard difficulty German woman disappeared like that.
Misaki suddenly approached me.
“W-would you like to add me as a friend?”
I have no intention of doing that.
Because I haven’t finished pretending to be a newbie yet.
“Let’s do it next time we meet.”
And it’s not worth it either.
The latter reason was clearly more significant.
Misaki seemed to have guessed why I refused, and smiled bitterly.
“Okay then!”
But her voice remained cheerful.
“Then we’ll be going too!”
FLASH!
The cheerful Misaki and her friend Zhu Xian disappeared simultaneously with a burst of light.
“I’m leaving too!”
Jake waved his hand at me and disappeared.
Excluding myself, there were two people who hadn’t returned to their towers yet.
I was just organizing my thoughts that when those two return, I should head straight to the hidden boss room alone.
SWISH.
Baek Jin-young pointed his sword at me.
“Move as I say if you don’t want to die.”
Next to him, Sun Haoran was holding a spear.
The direction of the spear blade, like Baek Jin-young’s sword, was pointing at me.
Sun Haoran’s mouth opened.
“You’ll still die anyway, but it will hurt less.”
Well now.
