‘Mother?’
Zeke was unable to continue speaking after realizing that the female magician’s identity was his mother who had died long ago.

Laura asked with a confused expression,

Laura touched the wall where the light was resting and tilted her head.
“Is something inside here?”
Zeke approached and tapped the wall, then drew Anexi’s dagger and cut through the wall like paper, creating an entryway.

As the cut section fell, an entrance to the inside was created.
Laura looked at Zeke with renewed curiosity.
“I’ve never heard of a knight like you in Lubern.”
“I’ve been hiding as much as possible to avoid the eyes of those rat bastards, so almost no one knows me.”
Laura still seemed to have questions about Zeke’s identity.
Before she could dig deeper, Zeke entered the wall, following the light.

It was the black-robed person wearing a mask.
Laura approached the black-robed person.
“What is it? Why did you follow me?”
The black-robed person slowly removed their mask.
A woman with red hair, pale skin, and a vampire’s unique mysterious gem-like eyes.
She looked at Laura and said,
“I couldn’t leave you alone. What did that suspicious person say?”

Laura gazed at the cave where Zeke disappeared, then turned to the vampire woman.
“Let’s go back, Carmilla.”

Zeke emerged from the portal in bright light.
Looking around, it seemed to be the top of a tower with windows on all sides.
