Zeke examined the newly acquired power and enhanced abilities from the message window.

“Power of Shadow Dominion? Bahamut’s second power… Then I could obtain other powers if the seal level decreases further.”

Zeke checked the information for Shadow Dominion and Limit break.

“What?”

Zeke was shocked checking Limit break description.

A skill that gives enlightenment when reaching limits was an unheard of ability.

‘How can such a skill exist?’

If this information was true, it meant Zeke could surpass realm barriers much easier than others.

Reaching limits can be done through effort and will.

In his past life, Zeke always pushed himself beyond his limits.

However, surpassing those limit barriers through enlightenment was a different matter.

For Zeke who crossed limits like eating meals, this skill was more valuable than any opportunity.

It was practically a stepping stone to reach the Black Knight realm he so desperately wanted.

After confirming all abilities, new messages appeared before Zeke.

A portal opened leading to the third hidden stage.

‘Clearing this means breaking through to floor 98.’

The end of the Inverted Tower was almost in sight.

Zeke took a breath before entering the portal.

Soon after, the third hidden stage Zeke faced was completely different from before.

“What is this?”

The sky was dyed purple with two black blazing suns.

The ground was barren wasteland, and all growing plants had thorny stems and writhed with bizarre appearances.

Then Arataso exclaimed.

[No way, how did we come to the demon realm?]

Arataso’s voice was heard without even taking out the Cloud Iron Sword from inventory.

“Arataso, can you hear me?”

[Yes, I can hear you.]

It seemed communication with Arataso became easier  as spirit power increased.

At the same time, Arataso appeared able to see external situations without taking out the Cloud Iron Sword.

Zeke asked Arataso again.

“Is this the demon realm?”

[No, wait… To be precise, it’s not the demon realm but an environment similar to it.]

At Arataso’s words, Zeke recalled the Agamemnon Castle he had purified.

The castle and its surroundings, long corrupted by demon energy, had a similar atmosphere.

‘Mycenae might have become like this if left alone.’

Zeke wore a troubled expression at the fact that Mycenae nearly transformed into the gloomy landscape before his eyes.

“By the way, what am I supposed to do here?”

Zeke muttered while entering bizarre-looking bushes to explore the terrain.

The bushes extended thorny stems trying to entangle Zeke.

Zeke took out Bahamut and cut down the approaching bush stems.

KIEEEK!

Black sap like blood dripped from the cut stems.

Zeke started cutting down the entire bush with his sword.

GRRRRRR!

Though a plant, the bush died bleeding as if it wasn’t really a plant.

HISSSSS!

Black smoke rose as the black sap from Bahamut dripped to the ground.

“Must be because the land is corrupted by demon energy. How toxic.”

Then a tower message appeared before Zeke.

[Hidden stage begins.]

[Go to the castle and defeat the boss demon.]

[Corresponding rewards will be given upon successful stage completion.]

[One skill restriction can be lifted due to difficulty adjustment. Choose a skill to unlock.]

“I can unlock one skill? Just how difficult is this… Hmm…”

After contemplating, Zeke decided to lift the Infinite Stamina skill restriction.

[Infinite Stamina skill restriction lifted.]

As the restriction lifted, Zeke felt his whole body become lighter.

“Whew, feels like putting down a chunk of iron.”

Zeke then realized how powerful the Infinite Stamina skill was.

With Infinite Stamina back, Zeke could use Hersion or Soul Sealing more easily.

“While getting stronger without skills is important, clearing the stage comes first right now.”

Zeke quickly climbed up trees using Flight Steps.

SWOOSH!

Demon energy corrupted trees extended branches trying to grab Zeke.

Zeke jumped into the air faster than the pursuing branches.

WHEEEE!

Airborne, Zeke instantly surveyed the terrain with maximized eye power.

A castle covered in thorny bushes was visible beyond the dense forest.

‘Is that where the boss is?’

Descending, Zeke struck down all branches trying to entangle him with Bahamut.

KIEEEK!

The trees screamed dripping black sap.

Zeke slid down with his sword stuck in the tree.

CRACK!

The tree split with a loud noise.

Undeterred, Zeke entered the forest heading toward the castle he saw from above.

Tree branches and bushes pursued from all directions trying to entangle him.

“Annoying ones.”

Zeke swung Bahamut like swatting insects, cutting down the branches.

Going deeper into the forest, suspicious presences were felt everywhere.

‘What’s that?’

Suddenly black shadows darting between trees rushed at Zeke.

KIEEEEEK!

Demon beasts resembling monkeys attacked Zeke.

SWOOSH!

Zeke stepped back swinging his sword at the demon beasts.

SLASH!

Using minimal aura, Zeke instantly cut down demon beasts rushing from all directions with Bahamut.

KIEEEEEK!

Cut by Bahamut, a demon beast screamed and retreated.

Zeke calmly advanced using Strong Wave Resonance.

WOOOONG!

The fleeing demon beast collapsed coughing blood from the wave.

Zeke could subdue demon beasts using much less power than before.

“Definitely feels like unnecessary movements have been reduced.”

This proved he reached true unity of sword and mind.

Zeke went deeper into the forest eliminating demon beasts.

Different types of demon beasts attacked as he went deeper.

This time a lion-like demon beast charged at Zeke baring huge fangs.

KRRRROAR!

The huge demon beast attacked but to Zeke who faced Balrog, it looked like a cute cat.

SWOOSH!

Zeke dodged with Shadowless Steps then kicked the demon beast’s side.

BOOM!

KHEUNG!

Hit directly by Zeke’s kick, the demon beast writhed in pain unable to move properly.

He seized the chance to swing his sword and cut off its head.

SLASH!

The beheaded demon beast scattered as black ash.

Like with Balrogs, magic stones dropped where the demon beast vanished. Zeke picked them up into his inventory.

“Could use these in emergencies.”

Bigger and stronger demon beasts appeared as he approached the castle.

Then suddenly, a Hellhound with three heads the size of a Basilisk bared its teeth at Zeke.

GRRRRRR!

Arataso sealed in the Cloud Iron Sword was surprised.

[Wow, that’s a Cerberus. Rare to see these in the demon realm nowadays.]

“You know this demon beast?”

[High-ranking demons used to keep them a lot. They’re good at guarding territories since they’re quite loyal for demon beasts.]

GRRRRRR!

Cerberus charged at Zeke baring saw-like teeth.

KAAAAK!

Zeke struck the Cerberus’s teeth with his sword.

CRACK!

The left head’s teeth shattered.

YELP!

The startled beast retreated.

Soon after, its broken teeth began regenerating.

Sensing Zeke’s sword was unusual, Cerberus opened its mouths wide.

Black flames rose from all three mouths.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Cerberus spewed black flames at Zeke.

WHOOSH!

Though weaker than the Balrog Champion Tyrant’s flames, the demon energy flames were dangerous enough to burn the whole body with just a moment’s carelessness.

Knowing this, Zeke quickly retreated with Phantom Steps avoiding Cerberus’s flames.

Then he stomped hard spreading Strong Wave Resonance.

WOOOONG!

As the wave expanded, the burning black flames subsided.

Zeke immediately leapt through the flames swinging his sword at Cerberus.

Infinite Chain technique activated, unleashing consecutive attacks of Sun Swordsmanship and Golden Swordsmanship.

GRRRR!

Cerberus stepped back trying to dodge Zeke’s sword strikes.

But Zeke didn’t miss the momentary opening.

WOOOONG!

With a strong sword cry, Zeke took the Dragon Slaying Technique stance.

A much clearer aura blade rose from his sword than before.

Chapter 3 Section 2

Crescent Moon Launch

Bahamut unleashed crescents at Cerberus.

PAPAPAPAP!

Clear crescents flew toward Cerberus.

Cerberus spewed black flames against the sword strikes.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

But Zeke’s crescent strikes cut through the flames advancing on Cerberus.

SLASH!

The crescents traced an arc cutting off all three of Cerberus’s heads.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Cerberus’s heads fell to the ground.

THOOM!

Cerberus’s body fell and slowly scattered as black ash.

Cerberus’s magic stone and teeth remained.

“Cerberus teeth. Richmond would like these.”

After carefully collecting the drops, Zeke felt the castle was near as he tried to advance.

Then Zeke heard fighting sounds from beyond the forest.

‘Fighting sounds? Are demon beasts fighting each other?’

Zeke invoked the will of ‘Concealment’ with Soul  technique and observed the source while hidden.

Surprisingly, there was another human besides Zeke.

“Come at me, you beasts!”

A knight in unfamiliar armor was amazingly fighting demon beasts with a net and harpoon-like spear.

The knight caught demon beasts with the net then pierced their vitals with the spear.

Minotaur-like demon beasts kept their distance, afraid of getting caught in the knight’s net.

Watching the knight’s unique technique, something occurred to Zeke.

“Could that knight be…?”

Zeke knew of only one knight who fought in such a unique way.

‘Fisher Knight Reyes, one of the Clock Tower knights?’
