Chapter 31: Confirming Plans and LuisÂ
Alf and Leaf had ordered refills of their drinks more than ten times, and those cups were now empty as well. Mario was on his fifth cup. Tenma still had some of his fourth cup remaining. Tenma was amazed by their drinking capacity. The clock hanging on the wall had passed 10 o’clock.
“Tomorrow is Tenma’s shopping day. He can visit the Sorcerer Guild in the afternoon, right Mario? What about you, Leaf?”
“I think I’ll move in with you too. We’re stopping by Marny’s shop too, right?”
“That’s right. We have to stop by, or who knows what she’ll say to us. Is that okay with you too, Tenma?”
“If possible, I’d like to stop by the Commerce Guild first to deposit some money. I also want to exchange some currency. Would that be a problem?”
While Alf was confirming tomorrow’s schedule with everyone, Tenma also conveyed his wishes.
“Eh? Tenma, do you have money that needs to be exchanged?”

“Then tomorrow we’ll stop by the Commerce Guild first, that’s fine. Let’s meet at 8 o’clock here. We’ll all eat breakfast together too.”

With that, everyone stood up from their seats, and Mario and Leaf headed toward the stairs. Alf alone headed toward the counter.
Alf told Tenma to follow him, so he followed along. Beyond the counter, a somewhat plump man was sitting and reading something. His facial features resembled Alf’s. He was somewhat plump, but Alf called out to such a person.
“Uncle, I want to pay for today and introduce this guy.”
“What? It’s unusual for Alf to make introductions. Tch, it’s not a woman. You’re at a good age, so bring a fiancĂ©e or something. So, who’s this guy?”
The Uncle who glanced at Tenma and cursed at Alf looked at Tenma again properly.
“I’m called Tenma.”
“I’m Luis. I’m this mischievous brat’s guardian. Nice to meet you.”
“Uncle. Could you give this guy a card too?”
“Yeah. That’s fine. Don’t lose it. Also, reselling is prohibited.”
As he said that, he took out a card from under the counter and handed it to Tenma. Looking at it, it read “Uwabami’s Nest Special Discount Card” “No. 11.”
“It was Tenma, right? Could you show me your Guild Card for a moment?”
Tenma took out his Guild Card. Luis confirmed its contents and made notes in a ledger.
“Alf, what time should I wake you up tomorrow?”
“7:30. That’s fine with you too, right Tenma?”
“Yes, that’s fine with me.”
“Got it. Well then, good night. Learn to wake up on your own already, Alf. You’ve got a junior now.”
“He’s not a junior! Well, good night, Uncle.”
“Good night.”
Tenma went up the stairs with Alf. They parted ways on the second floor, and when he entered his room, Tenma changed into his nightclothes and immediately collapsed onto the bed.
Perhaps due to the alcohol he had drunk for the first time and the fatigue from his first day in the other world, Tenma fell asleep in no time at all.
