Chapter 26: Tenma Becomes an Adventurer

Garf approached the desk and took a card out from the drawer. He placed the card on the desk and touched the crystal ball. Then, the crystal in the center of the room emitted a faint light. Garf urged Tenma to touch the crystal as instructed.

“Don’t move from there.” Garf called out to Tenma.

As Tenma was watching Garf, Myle switched places with him. Myle touched the crystal ball and was muttering something. After that, Garf took his place again. Once more, Garf touched the crystal ball and took the card from the desk.

“You can let go now,” Garf said to Tenma, who then removed his hand from the crystal. Garf presented a card in front of Tenma’s eyes.

“This is your Guild Card. Your magical power has been registered, so don’t lose it. Reissuing it costs money. Take a look at the back too.”

Tenma looked at the card he was given:

Garf left the room and headed toward the hall. Tenma followed behind him.

“For Guild Card matters, Rank-ups and such, ask Alf to teach you. I’m expecting great things from you, Tenma.”

Garf said this to Tenma as he walked toward the hall. Upon hearing this, Tenma thought ‘Expectations, huh’ with a somewhat detached feeling. More than that, he felt happy about obtaining the Guild Card as an ID.

When he returned to the hall, Alf and Mario asked Tenma in unison, “Did the registration go well?” Tenma answered them with a “Yes.” Hearing this, Alf slapped Tenma’s back with an open hand. Mario offered a handshake. Amidst this, Garf took Tenma’s hand and raised it.

“Today, a new adventurer has been born in Gomena. His name is Tenma. Rank F. Everyone, please treat him well!”

“OHHH!”

The hall erupted in cheers. Among them, attention focused on Tenma. Most of the gazes were friendly and curious. However, some envious looks were mixed in as well.

Afterward, each person presented their Subjugation Proof and received money from the Guild. Tenma received 10 copper coins for 10 Goblins, returned 2 coins to Alf, and Stored the rest.
