“Ugh!”

The mage stumbled backward, startled by Zeke’s flash bang skill.

In that moment, Zeke rushed in with wind technique and swung his sword at the mage.

The mage’s body wavered before turning into black smoke and reappearing elsewhere.

He glared at Zeke with glowing red eyes.

“You wield an unfamiliar power.”

The mage shouted at the hounds who still couldn’t open their eyes properly from the flash bang.

“You fools! Get up and catch him!”

The hounds, who had their eyes recovered with the mage’s help, stood up and surrounded Zeke.

Zeke clicked his tongue softly and swung his sword imbued with temple power.

Unable to block Zeke’s sword, the hounds died as their necks were severed in one strike.

As the hounds died, the mage began chanting an incantation in an eerie voice.

He tried to float up using wind power, but the mage wouldn’t allow it.

Black energy flowing from the mage’s staff blocked the hole above like dark clouds.

Zeke swung his sword at the dark clouds.

But though they dispersed briefly, the clouds regathered and tried to envelop Zeke.

Cautiously watching his surroundings as he entered deeper into the temple, he came upon a space lined with massive pillars bearing distinct Joint tribe patterns.

At the end of the space was what appeared to be the temple entrance.

‘Strange that the temple entrance is here. Then the excavation site outside might have been where the ancient Bird tribe lived.’

If residential areas and temples were together, there would be an enormous amount to excavate. It made sense why the Empire was so desperate to claim this territory, given the discovery of a dungeon of this scale.
